Health Concerns

At the Hermitage a First Aid Kit takes care of all minor cuts and bruises. However if you have to take prescription medicines please bring an ample supply with you. Though Khanapur has a number of pharmacies, anything out of the ordinary will entail a trip to Belgaum.

If for any reason a doctor is required, arrangements will be made for swift medical attention. Several Doctors and Nursing Homes are available at Khanapur 16 km away.

There is no incidence of malaria here at the Hermitage, and entire Khanapur Taluka is also free of Malaria. Belgaum district has had a few cases but the numbers are negligible.

All food preparation at the Hermitage is done in hygienic conditions, the water source for drinking is an underground freshwater spring. Needless to say all drinking water is filtered.
